How is FLC compensated?

If you choose to implement our recommendations, we will be compensated by the financial institutions whose products are used to implement your strategies. These include mutual fund companies, insurance companies as well as other suppliers. There will be no direct cost to you the client. We may receive a renewal (or service) commission if you keep the policy in force. We may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses, or non-monetary benefits, such as travel incentives, depending on various factors such as the volume or persistency of business  that we place with a particular company during a given time period.
 

What does it cost me?

There is no direct cost to you the client. Our job is to identify your financial problems and concerns, and to prescribe solutions. These solutions usually come in the form of financial products. When we implement these financial products into your plan, we will be compensated by the financial institutions that provide these products. The time and service we give to you is at our expense.
 

How do I become a client of FLC?

You can contact us anytime by visiting our Contact page.  Simply leave us your name and contact information and our client relations team will contact you within 48 hours. At that point, you can ask us any initial questions or set an appointment with one of our qualified advisors.

What is FLC's hours of availability?

We place our client's needs at the forefront, and we understand that issues do come up outside of 9 to 5. Therefore we strive to be as assessible for our clients as possible. Whether we are in the office or out on the road, our clients know that they can contact us anytime (at a reasonable hour!) and can expect our attention promptly.
 

Is FLC affiliated with any Financial Institution?

We operate a fully independent practice. No insurance or investment company holds an ownership interest in our business, nor do we hold an interest in any insurance or investment company. This allows us to provide unbiased recommendations and comprehensive choice for our clients.
 

What is FLC's commitment to client privacy and confidentiality?

We are committed to the success of our clients and to keep our word and operate with integrity. All information shared with us both verbally and through notes and email media will be kept confidential. We will not use any client's information for personal benefit, regardless of whether or not it actually causes the client harm, and we have taken steps to ensure that all client documentation is protected as per the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the ability to request your file at anytime throughout the client / advisor relationship. Should you wish to terminate the relationship, you may do so at any time, but we may only end it after having given 30 days’ notice.
