From its inception, the Financial Literacy Counsel was called upon by a major university to develop financial literacy resources to educate university students financial survival skills. Today, our programs have expanded to provincial and federal government mandates, charities and non-profit organizations, elementary and high school, colleges and universities, family foundations, as well as faith-based institutions.
Our company began as a university student club called the Financial Literacy Association in 2000. Our goal at that time was to equip future leaders in business, education, and government with basic financial survival skills in the areas of debt elimination, investing, and financial planning.
Since then, we have provided our programs to various faculties within universities. Our roots are on the campuses of Canada’s leading post secondary institutions and we continue to be committed to increasing financial literacy rates of students and faculty.
Our programs have been customized for:
- Medical and Dental Students
- Health Sciences Students
- Business & Commerce Students
- Faculty & Staff Members
We invite you to explore how the Financial Literacy Counsel can add value to faculties within your college or university setting.
