Independence and Choice
We operate a fully independent practice. No insurance or investment company holds an ownership interest in our business, nor do we hold an interest in any insurance or investment company.
Fees and Compensation
If you choose to implement our recommendations, we will be compensated by the financial institutions whose products are used to implement your strategies. These include mutual fund companies, insurance companies as well as other suppliers. There will be no direct cost to you the client. We may receive a renewal (or service) commission if you keep the policy in force. We may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses, or non-monetary benefits, such as travel incentives, depending on various factors such as the volume or persistency of business that we place with a particular company during a given time period.
Privacy Policy / Confidentiality Agreement and Our Commitment
We are committed to the success of our clients and to keep our word and operate with integrity. All information shared with us both verbally and through notes and email media will be kept confidential. We will not use any client's information for personal benefit, regardless of whether or not it actually causes the client harm, and we have taken steps to ensure that all client documentation is protected as per the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the ability to request your file at anytime throughout the client / advisor relationship. Should you wish to terminate the relationship, you may do so at any time, but we may only end it after having given 30 days’ notice.
Conflict of Interest
We take the potential of a conflict of interest seriously. We will notify you of any conflict of interest in our discovery process. Our overall recommendation will take into consideration your customized financial plan.
Complaints
Should you, for whatever reason, be unhappy or unsatisfied with our services, you may contact your Relationship Manager or Financial Advisor. If they are unable to provide satisfaction, you may call the Canadian Financial Services Ombudsman Network at 1-866-538-FSON for advice on how to proceed.
