The Financial Literacy Counsel was founded in 1999 as a university student club. The focus of the club was to help students understand financial basics and to teach them the financial life skills necessary to accumulate, preserve and leave a legacy. Our passion was guided by our vision of “building financially literate generations.”
Through our commitment within university settings, we were invited to develop and expand our existing programs by the municipal and provincial governments. As a result, we developed curricula for young adults, couples, families, seniors and entrepreneurs, all with the goal of advocating proper stewardship of wealth and promoting inter-generational family harmony.
Today, we have expanded our services to include not only financial literacy, but also financial planning, investment and risk management, and estate and business succession.
